Home Health Aide Services: Compassionate, Personalized Care for Independent Living

At Family Support Care, we believe that care is more than a service—it is a responsibility rooted in respect, culture, and human connection. Our Home Health Aide (HHA) services are designed to honor that belief by providing compassionate, high-quality support that helps individuals thrive in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Our certified home health aides are carefully matched with clients to ensure a genuine, respectful, and supportive relationship. They work under the supervision of our registered nurses, ensuring that every service is delivered with clinical excellence and a caring touch.

Here’s how we support you or your loved one:

Personal Care & Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
We provide gentle, respectful assistance with essential daily activities, helping maintain dignity and independence. This includes:

Bathing & Hygiene: Hands-on bathing, shower assistance, sponge baths, oral care, hair care, shaving, nail care, and skin care.

Dressing & Grooming: Help with choosing and putting on clothing, grooming, and personal presentation.

Toileting & Incontinence Care: Assistance with using the toilet or bedpan, catheter care (excluding insertion), and maintaining hygiene.

Mobility & Transfers: Help with walking, getting in and out of bed, positioning, and performing simple range-of-motion exercises to prevent injury.

Feeding: Assistance with eating and monitoring food and fluid intake.

Homemaking & Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)
A safe, clean, and orderly home environment is crucial for well-being. Our aides assist with tasks that make daily life easier and safer:

Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing nutritious, delicious meals according to dietary needs and preferences, followed by kitchen cleanup.

Light Housekeeping: Dusting, vacuuming, laundry, bed-making, floor washing, and waste disposal to maintain a healthy living space.

Home Safety: Ensuring the home environment is free of hazards to prevent falls and accidents.

Health Monitoring & Safety
Our aides are trained to observe and report changes in your condition, adding an essential layer of safety to your care plan:

Observation: Monitoring for changes in physical or mental status and reporting to our nursing team.

Skin Care: Inspecting skin for signs of pressure or irritation to help prevent bedsores.

Intake & Output: Monitoring food and fluid intake, as well as output when needed.

Transportation & Errands
We help you stay connected to your community and healthcare team:

Medical Appointments: Accompanying you to doctor’s visits and other medical appointments.

Errands: Running essential errands such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions.

Community Outings: Assisting with transportation to community events or appointments.

Medication Reminders
While our aides cannot administer medication, they are permitted to help you self-administer by:

Reminders: Gently reminding you when it’s time to take your medication.

Assistance: Helping you open medication containers, handing you the correct dose, or placing a pre-measured dose to your mouth.
