My research on family caregivers revealed a painful truth: families are overwhelmed. I founded Family Support Care to be the partner I wish my own family had, combining PhD-level expertise with the heart of a daughter.

Dr. Cleopatra (Cleo) Kum founded Family Support Care in 2016. With more than a decade of experience in acute care and home health nursing, Dr. Kum saw firsthand how overwhelming it can be for patients and families to manage care at home.

Our Administrator, Dr. Cleopatra (Cleo) Kum, contributes to community leadership through executive board service with organizations such as the Association of Professionals in Aging (APA) and the Association of African Professionals (APNET).
